2025 Easter Tournament
The annual Chris Perry – A.F.Beach Cup tournament was played on Good Friday and Easter Saturday this year.
12 teams of three bowlers each enjoyed four games of six ends each day, with the usual sociable breaks for teas and lunches. Points were awarded for a win (2) a draw (1) and a point for each end won.
One bowler unable to play the first day resulted in Terry donning bowling shoes and helping his team to fourth place. When two more called in sick the second day Terry press ganged Vanessa and Bithig to play, our thanks to them both, to Terry for organising a demanding but fun two day competition and the Ladies that fed and watered us.

Well done to all who played, it was close right until the end but the reigning champions were team I, made up of Harold Nutting in lead, Lorraine Murphy as number 2 and her husband Jim as skip. Special thanks to Ann’s daughter, Leanne for coming down and presenting the winners with the Trophy.

Egerton welcomed local rivals Eastbourne to the Park on Saturday 5th October. Eastbourne had difficulty fielding a full side for this fixture, which resulted in Triples being played on only four rinks.
Eastbourne started slightly stronger of the two sides and by the half time break they were leading 22-24. After the break Eastbourne enhanced their lead and came out worthy winners 49-65 by winning three of the four rinks.
